Description:

M.R. Carey’s chilling novel has left a lasting impression on zombie horror this century. Its London setting gives it a great [28 Days Later](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0289043/) feel, too. Melanie lives in her cell at an eerie army base, getting strapped into a wheelchair and taken by gunpoint to school. She doesn’t know what the outside world is like, and she doesn’t know there’s something very unique about her and her classmates. This creepy and suspenseful Audie Award-winning book was adapted to a film starring Glenn Close, who plays a very scary doctor. It won a number of indie film awards, cementing it into the zombie movie zeitgeist this century, too. (Blurb: Book Riot - Best Horror Books of the Century So Far)
